The mission of the West Sacramento Code Enforcement Division is to promote and maintain safe, healthy and desirable living, working, and recreational conditions within the community. Code Enforcement pledges a commitment to public service, by orchestrating fair and equal enforcement of the City's Municipal Code, while utilizing information, education, and communication to gain voluntary compliance.
You may file a complaint about an alleged code violation either in person, in writing, by phone (916)-617-4925 or using West Sac Connect online or download the app.

Once a complaint is received and a case is created, below is our flow chart process.
What Does a Notice Look Like?
- Correction Notice: A courtesy letter either posted or mailed to the resident and/or property owner as request to abate simple violations.
- Notice to Abate : A formal letter sent to the resident and property owner advising to correct the violation(s) on the property.
- Fines, Fees, Administrative Costs, and Penalties : Penalties accrued if the property is not in compliance within the timeframe provided. Penalties will be issued against the property owner and/or residents.
- Order to Show Cause : Continued non-compliance which resulted in a citation against the property owner and a notice for an administrative hearing.
