• Broken Sprinklers
• Non-Adherence to Watering Schedule
• Hosing Off Driveway
  • Note: Spot-Hosing for Health and Safety is acceptable
  • Note: Powerwashing is acceptable
•  Washing a Car without a Shut-Off Nozzle
• Watering During Rainfall, or 48 Hours After
  • Rainfall means a Rain Event of 0.125 inches or more
• Excessive Water Waste

Before you call, have the following information ready:

1. Address of water waste

2. Date you observed water waste

3. Type of issue

Within a few days, City Staff will contact the responsible party to issue a water waste warning, if appropriate.

For the first and second confirmed written notices within a 12-month period, no penalty shall be imposed.

For a third violation during any 12-month period: A written notice describing the violation and the penalty shall be issued to the owner and the occupant (if different than the owner) of the premises where the violation occurred. A penalty of $200 shall be imposed. 

For fourth and any successive violations during any 12-month period: A written notice describing the violation and the penalty shall be issued to the owner and the occupant (if different than the owner) of the premises where the  violation occurred. A penalty of $500 shall be imposed.
